The Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust is seeking an inspirational and dynamic individual for the role of Headteacher at one of our esteemed primary schools in Sheffield. As a faith-based trust committed to providing exceptional education, we are looking for a leader who shares our values and is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. We are looking for someone who has a clear presence as a leader and who understands and can work well within a Multi Academy Trust. The Headteacher will inspire, challenge, motivate and empower others to carry the school’s vision forward.

We need someone who will lead the development of the curriculum and ensure that the key priorities for school improvement in writing and phonics are effectively achieved. The Headteacher will be supported by our Head of School Improvement/Deputy CEO, to achieve the high standards required for all aspects of the school.

Responsibilities:

As the Headteacher, you will be responsible for:

1. Providing visionary leadership to the school, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high academic standards.
2. Implementing the trust's mission and values in daily school life, ensuring a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
3. Work with the Trust EWO to improve pupil attendance and reduce persistent absence
4. Work closely with the CFO, Buildings Managers, People Director and Head of Business and Operations to ensure effective and safe operations
5. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with staff, students, parents, and the wider community.
6. Working with the wider trust in finding opportunities to collaborate on common priorities, networking with colleagues outside of own school to ensure longer term strategic aims are achieved
7. Overseeing the effective delivery of the national and school curriculum, ensuring an engaging and challenging learning experience for all pupils.
8. Leading and supporting the professional development of teaching and non-teaching staff.

Requirements:

The successful candidate should possess:

Proven leadership experience in a primary school setting as Deputy Head or Head of School, or higher.

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and significant teaching experience

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

A commitment to the ethos and values of The Diocese of Sheffield Academies Trust.

Strong strategic and organisational abilities.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time Only + 2 inset days. Temporary with a view to becoming permanent.

Aston C of E Primary School is an Ofsted rated good school (Oct 22) and part of The Diocese of Sheffield Academy Trust. We are seeking to employ a committed, self-motivated, caring and flexible individual to join our friendly and dedicated team. The successful candidate will be well supported by a strong team of leaders, teachers and teaching assistants and will help supervise and provide support and care for young people, including individualised support for pupils who have special educational and medical needs.

The hours of work are currently Monday – Friday 8.40am – 3.40pm.

We are seeking to employ an individual who has: -

• Minimum NVQ Level 2 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
• Recent experience of working within a primary school classroom
• Commitment to achieving and promoting high standards of care, learning and behaviour
• Knowledge of phonics and early reading
• Experience of learning interventions is desirable but not essential
• Experience of the assessment cycle and monitoring progress
• Ability to establish positive relationships with pupils and empathise with their needs
• Ability to work flexibly across all key stages as required, initially based in KS1
• A competent standard of numeracy, literacy and ICT
• Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities
• Ability to maintain confidentiality on all school matters

The post will involve:

• Supporting pupils during whole class teaching, in small groups and/or on a 1-1 basis
• Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the educational, social, emotional needs of individual pupils
• Supporting with the delivery of phonics daily
• Covering lunchtime supervision daily
• Working within an agreed framework of supervision and taking responsibility for agreed learning activities.

We are seeking a diligent and proactive Academy Site Supervisor with good interpersonal skills and high standards. We need a person who loves to fix, clean, build, unblock, paint, weed and take genuine ownership and pride in our school. The Site Supervisor will be directly responsible to the Head of School but will work closely with the Trust Buildings Manager, Schools Office Manager, and other school staff.

The Site Supervisor is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the school site ensuring the buildings and grounds are clean and safe, ready for the children and staff to work, learn and play. Your role will include closing of the school.

We are seeking:

▪ Has a trade background/training in either plumbing, joinery, plastering, painting/decorating, electrician, grounds maintenance
▪ Ability to multi task across a range of activities
▪ A conscientious person who sets high standards with attention to detail

communication skills
▪ A good team member, but able to work independently
